Moonstone Bat Wing Sun Catcher

A stunning night inspired sun catcher to bring some magic into your life. This is handcrafted with a real bat wing, thorny twigs, tiny leaves, Moonstone and Smoky Quartz beads. I start with the bat wing as the focal piece and then I use real twigs and other foliage and crystals to build around it. One of the thorny twigs is actually poking through a torn portion of the bat wing. After it is built to my liking I put in my tank to be electroformed with copper for 2 days. The process of building one of took about 10 days from start to finish. The copper is given a nice vintage patina to pull out all of the little details and then it is sealed to help preserve the finish.
 
I love to hang my sun catchers in an east facing window to catch the sun as it rises in the morning.  The crystals hanging below will catch the light and spray rainbows across the room. 
 
From top to bottom the sun catcher measures about 12 inches long and is about 3 1/2 inches wide.
A piece of chain is attached to the top for hanging purpouses.
